losing in iraq..

this is from a blog called http://soldiersangelsgermany.blogspot.com/

U.S. Army Task Force Regulators 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment Staff Sgt. Fred Hampton, of Lexington, Ky., kneels on a knee to talk with a young Iraqi boy at the future site of Regular 6 Park in the Thawra 1 section of the Sadr City District of Baghdad on June 20. i think it is a vivid reminder of what we are doing there and that it is working. while the calls of the anti-war left scream to leave, the progress of nationbuilding moves forward in iraq. irrespective of your view on the reasons for the war, the fact is that we are there and we are (were?) a nation that does things right and honors our word. the next presidential election will determine if we are still a nation with that type of resolve.

to keep track of what is really going on in iraq, there is no better place than michael yon's website. http://www.michaelyon-online.com/

raw. unbiased. truth.
